Welcome to our school!
Everyone involved in the running of Long Toft welcomes you to the school website. We are a very dedicated and hardworking team, ensuring that your children work to their full potential and enjoy attending school. We hope you find the website interesting and informative.
When you call our school you will speak to our lovely ladies in the office, either Miss. Gorman, Mrs. Hall, Mrs. Wilkinson or Mrs. Addison. From there if you would like to speak to our head teacher, please ask for Mrs. Wainman. If you would like to speak to our deputy head teacher please ask for Mr. Howlett. If you would like to speak to our SENCo please ask for Mrs. Harte. Otherwise please explain the reason for your call and you will be directed to the correct person.
Should you require any paper copies of any of the documents on our website, please email admin@longtoftschool.co.uk in order to make the request.

Parent Needs Childcare Survey 2025
Parents and carers – we want to hear from you
We are planning childcare needs across Doncaster to ensure we have enough provision for our families in the future.
We are interested in your childcare situation and what your future needs may be.
Please complete this survey and help us plan and support the childcare provision in Doncaster.
Doncaster Winter Urgent & Emergency, and Self-Care Communications
Please find enclosed two posters promoting NHS local services and, the Pharmacy First service which we are circulating ahead of winter for the public but can be used all year round.
This will help you to find the best services and mental wellbeing support for your needs.
Staff Forest School Training Day
Our school staff participated in training for Forest Schools today, an exciting new programme at Long Toft. Staff are now equipped with the skills and knowledge to engage our students in outdoor learning experiences.
Everyone is looking forward to putting these new techniques into practice and providing our children with the opportunity to explore nature and develop essential skills.
Stay tuned for updates as we roll out the Forest Schools programme and share more adventures with our students!
Long Toft Learner Awards
Congratulations to all our wonderful children who received the Long Toft Learner Awards in assembly this week, presented by our Headteacher, Mrs Wainman.
Well done for all of your hard work and dedication you have shown in your learning. Parents and carers should be so proud of their children.

Exciting News: Further Funding Secured with Tesco Fruit & Veg Scheme
We are thrilled to share that our school has successfully secured further generous funding through the Tesco Fruit and Veg Scheme for Schools.
This wonderful support means that every child will continue to receive fresh fruit and vegetables at school every day - completely free of charge.
We know how important healthy eating is for children’s wellbeing, focus, and development, and we believe this will be a fantastic benefit for all our pupils. We’re sure you’ll agree this is something to be extremely happy and grateful for.
